Stingray Nail Art
On my vacation last weekend I found the most amazing sterling silver & opal stingray earrings from a little shop. Then I decided to create a manicure that matches the earrings!
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
I started off with two coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, which is actually one of my all time favorite blues. It’s so vibrant and clear! Shown below is two coats with no top coat – and look at all that shine!
Create an opal effect
Next, for the opal effect, I applied one coat of Finger Paints Flecked, a clear coat loaded with flakes that shift from green to aqua.
For a deeper opal look, I applied one coat of Finger Paints Motley, a clear coat loaded with flakes that shift from green to blue to purple.
I then added one coat of SV to protect before the next step, shown below.
Cute stingray design
I paired Bundle Monster nail design plates for manicure BM-316 with Barry M Silver Foil for the line effect to mimic that on the stingray, and followed with a final coat of SV.
I absolutely love the final result of this paired with the ray earrings.
My birthstone is an opal, so I’m always so excited to see opals used in non-traditional ways like this.
I hope you all love this as much as I do!
