Nail Taping
How cool does this look! I wore it out to dinner after doing the manicure and I felt all special and snazzy with my dolled-up blingy nails. My only annoyance was that I forgot to put a top coat on after the tape and gems so the tape started peeling and the gems fell off after a while Lesson learned for next time!
I started by painting my nails with Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream – two coats to make it completely opaque. I then painted a coat of Seche Vite to make it dry quicker so I could get sticking! Then for each nail, I cut off a piece of tape, stuck it on my nail and trimmed it down to the right size. After that, I used a toothpick to dab a bit of clear nail polish onto the place where I was going to stick a gem, then picked up a gem using the toothpick (clear polish remnants are sticky!) and placed it onto the nail….and then did that for all the gems!
It took a while, but it was totally worth it!
Have you ever had a go at using nail tape?
For this manicure I used:
- OPI – Nail Envy
- Barry M – Blueberry Ice Cream
- Seche Vite – Quick Dry Topcoat
- Blue nail tape
- Clear nail art gems
