Inspired by fashion Nail Design

The finish line is nearly in sight. I’m not going to lie…I can’t wait for it to be over. My creativity is starting to run thin.

Today’s theme is ‘inspired by fashion’ and I did think about copying a dress print from London Fashion Week that has just gone but then I remembered that I had a cool new set of clothes and fashion stamping images that I haven’t tried out yet.

First I painted my nails with No7 Winter Tale which is a polish from their new collection recently released. The colour is really lovely. One of the men at work described it as ‘battleship grey’ which I thought was a very good description so I’m stealing it. The consistency is not so lovely however. It is impossible to get the right amount of polish on the brush. You either get too much and it dribbles everywhere or not enough and it streaks and drags. It makes me a bit reluctant to buy any more from the new No7 collection.

After it had dried I used five different stamp images to stamp over the grey with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Grape Escape which is a lovely dark metallic purple. These Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes are amazing for Nail stamping plate fun designs. I managed to pick this one up with a few other colours from Poundland a few weeks ago which was an absolute bargain.

For this manicure I used:

  • Revlon – Quick Dry Base Coat
  • No7 – Winter Tale
  • Sally Hansen – Insta-Dri Grape Escape
  • Cheeky Image Plate CH37
  • Cheeky Image Plate CH55
  • Revlon – Quick Dry Top Coat
