Golden Ibiza Glitter Gradient

I’ve seen quite a few posts bobbing about on various blogs recently of glitter gradients and have been really keen on trying my own. The challenge here was to choose the colours I wanted to use without copying anything I had seen before…

Ibiza mix by Models Own is a glitter I picked up a few weeks ago whilst visiting my parents. My sister and I had decided to hit Boots in the hopes of finding a fun new polish and I ended up coming home with several. As usual.

I chose to use two different golds as I have used this combo before and knew that they really compliment each other well!

Ibiza Mix is a clear polish packed to the brim with pink, blue, purple and gold mini glitter and pink, blue, purple and gold medium hex glitter. This is one of those polishes that you really have to dab onto the nail as the coverage isn’t brilliant, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be.

Lil’ bling Gilt-y is a wonderful gold foil kind of polish and what a little gem it is! It’s definitely the go-to of my metallic nail collection.

Max Factor Mini polish in Ivory is much more of a subtle gold than Gilt-y, but has the added bonus of a nice shimmer, so it paired really well with it. I think it was definitely needed as Gilt-y would have been a little too striking on its on and wouldn’t have looked as good with the glitter.

For Golden Ibiza Glitter Gradient I used:

  • Sally Hansen – Maximum Growth
  • Lil’ Bling – Gilt-y
  • Max Factor – Max Effect Mini Nail Polish – Ivory
  • Models Own – Ibiza Mix
  • Sally Hansen – Insta-Dri
DermaBlend- ACD
